지난 15일 경기도 파주시 파주NFC에서 벌어진 'FK리그 승강플레이오프' 고양불스풋살클럽과 제천FS와의 경기에서 선수들간 난투극을 연상케 하는 폭력사태가 발생(노컷스포츠 16일자 단독 보도)한 것과 관련, 최초 폭력을 행사한 혐의를 사고 있는 선수의 소속 구단이 자체 조사를 벌여 폭력 연루자들에 대해 중징계 조치를 내렸다.
제천FS는 경기 중 상대(고양불스) 선수들에게 폭력을 행사한 최병태·강경묵·김도환 등 3명을 FK리그 선수자격 영구박탈 징계를 결정했다.
제천FS는 이같은 상황을 구단 공식 SNS를 통해 공표한 상황이다.
이번 폭력사태와 관련한 노컷스포츠의 17일 취재에 이재문 제천FS 코치는 "현재 3명 선수는 한국풋살연맹 징계위원회의 징계 결정을 기다리는 중이다. 그 전에 구단 내에서 자체적으로 재발 방지를 위해 3명 선수에 대한 선수 자격 영구 박탈 징계를 결정했다"고 밝혔다.
그는 이어 "해당 선수들도 이 같은 결정을 겸허히 받아들였다. 구단 차원에서 차후 연맹이 내린 결정을 모두 따르고 선수들의 교육도 철저히 진행해 다시는 이런 사태가 발생하지 않도록 조치하겠다"고 전했다.

한국풋살연맹은 이번 폭력사태를 심각하게 보고, 대안마련에 나섰다.
김인한 한국풋살연맹 전무이사는 "연맹의 징계 여부 등은 오는 21일 결정될 예정이다. 연맹 측에서는 이번 건에 대해 매우 심각하게 생각하고 있기 때문에 신중을 기하고 있다"고 전했다.
이어 "FK리그 구단들은 보통 프로팀들과 달리 후원사 없이 운영돼 자생력이 부족하다. 그로 인해 선수들에 대한 교육과 관리가 어려워 이번 사태가 발생했다고 본다. 이번 사건을 계기로 연맹 차원에서도 규정을 정리하고 강화해 부족했던 부분을 채워나가도록 할 것" 이라고 밝혔다.
